Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and maintaining economical and efficient transportation services for the company.
Understand and deliver agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Take corrective action on any delivery failures.
Ensure compliance with all legislation relating to transport activities and maintain awareness of all relevant transport legislation
Identify actions and opportunities to increase efficiencies, reduce costs and improve levels of service to the customer – both internal and external.
Ensure effective forward planning of labor and resources through interface with planning function. Analyze reports, review activity and resource to ensure the transport plan is in line with warehouse volumes and throughput.
Manpower planning and management including day and night shift planning and overtime and weekend work where required
Maintain all safety programs and transportation records for the company.
Responsible for transportation analysis and savings/cost opportunity analysis and the implementation and management of cost analysis measures. Plan and monitor budgets.
Work with other section managers to improve operational and performance metrics. Provide information, recommendations, and coordinate project implementation for transportation and logistics cost reduction opportunities.
Ensure security is controlled at all times
To establish and implement working guidelines for transport companies and ensure adherence.
To ensure transporter rates are competitive and structured to suit the needs of the business.
To ensure there is prompt and effective communication both internally and externally to keep all interested parties informed proactively. This includes but is not limited to, superiors, sub-ordinates, colleagues, principals and customers.
Customers & Principals orientation - focused on identifying and meeting/exceeding customer/principal needs. Understands customer's & principal’s business environment. Strives to establish successful long-term business partnerships with customers & principals and remains professional at all times when dealing with them.

Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Logistic/Transportation/Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
Required skill(s): Organising, Negotiation, Problem-solving.
Preferred skill(s): MS Office, Interpersonal, Communication.
Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
At least 5 year(s) of experience in transportation/logistic industries preferably in MNC / FMCG environment.
Experience in managing a large group of staff inclusive foreign workers (>40 staff).
Knowledge of transport regulations.
Preferably Managers specializing in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent. Job role in Logistics or equivalent.
1 Full-Time position available.
