Responsibilities:
Develops and applies computer aided design (CAD) software engineering methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems.
Assessing architecture and hardware limitations, plans technical projects in the design and development of CAD software.
Defines and selects new approaches and implementation of CAD software engineering applications and design specifications and parameters. Develops routines and utility programs.
Prepares design specifications, analysis and recommendations for presentation and approval. May specify materials, equipment and supplies required for completion of projects and may evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.

Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a degree or a diploma in Science or Engineering (Physics or Electrical Engineering) or a related discipline
Two to three years of experience in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design on a PC or UNIX based workstation.
Knowledge of PCB layout in Allegro involving multi layer, high pin count and SMT high performance PCBs
Knowledge and understanding of rule set for Design for Manufacturing and Design for Test, Design for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and/or EMI
Ability to work independently with excellent self initiatives
Knowledge on Valor tools, CAM 350, GCPreview and AutoCAD toolset would be an added advantage.
Familiarity with script coding (Skill, Perl and TCL) to enhance design automation process would be an added advantage.
Required language(s): English.
