Sales Director-Kuala Lumpur-Malaysia

Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales opportunities and acquire contracts for SYNIVERSE's products and services
  • Identify and qualify potential prospects. Research the prospect's business and identify possible products and solutions that SYNIVERSE can provide.
  • Work with internal teams to develop the sales presentation. Meet with the prospect and make the proposal presentation. Address issues, concerns, new ideas, etc., to obtain customer's contract.
  • Attain annual sales quota. Achieve new sales and renew expiring contracts.
  • Develop and execute customer-specific account plans
  • Develop and communicate revenue and product sales objectives, strategic and tactical account penetration programs and quality performance action plans.
  • Ensure retention and growth of existing revenue streams and the development of new revenue sources through identifying customer needs and working with Business Development to deliver new services.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, prospects and internal SYNIVERSE organizations.
  • Provide solid account leadership. Maintain ongoing communication with the customer and understand the customers' needs. Foster positive working relationships between the SYNIVERSE organization and the customer to ensure on-going customer satisfaction.
  • Anticipate opportunities the competition may exploit and work to close the gap.
  • Provide post-sales support to customers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent (MBA is ideal)
  • 8+ years of sales and account management experience
  • Basic understanding of Mobile and IT business, including CDMA, GSM, SS7, IP, network infrastructure and value-added services
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications and Mobile industries and technologies
  • Strong connections in the Mobile & Fixed Operators in South East Asia
  • Strong working knowledge of SYNIVERSE products and industry knowledge
  • Strong cross-functional management skills
  • Extensive direct sales process exposure
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Self starter, ability to work independently
  • Leadership skills and ability to take initiatives and drive sales efforts and internal support
  • Internet knowledge and computer skills. Familiar with Microsoft Office programs
  • Flexibility to work after hours due to time difference with US headquarters.
