Responsibilities:
To prepare and draft schematic diagrams, drawings, bills of materials, product specifications and literature and maintain historical product database.
To review engineering change request, oversees preparation and implementation of engineering change for product innovation, improvement and upgrading.
Assist in Production and Engineering Dept to develop efficient process flow, operating equipment parameters, work methodology, tooling, jigs and fixtures necessary to meet customers' expectations.
To handle product design using CAD/CAE system and engineering calculations specified to customers' needs and requirements.
To assist in design, testing and process modification via production trial, vendor development, specifications preparation, communication of results and providing engineering support and new product development.

Requirements:
Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electro-mechanical/ Fluid Mechanics Engineering or Physical/Industrial Sciences from Polytechnics, Technical Colleges, Universities or equivalent, with knowledge of product improvement / optimization & new design.
Minimum 3 years' industrial R&D experience, preferably in similar industry or product categories. Experience in 2D & 3D CAD drafting and equipment design will be an advantage. Working knowledge of engineering tools on finite element analysis and mould flow analysis. Sound in project management and control techniques.
3 years' or more professional experience in metering equipment design & development is preferred. Good knowledge of computer aided design
Basic knowledge of plastic moulding manufacturing process
Basic electronic knowledge /Good PC skills / ISO 9001 QMS ISO 14001 EMS exposure
Sound technical competence and design skills, effective interpersonal skills and results-oriented, attention to detail, strong analytical skills, problem-solver and excellent organizing and technical writing skills. Team player and able to multi-task.
Good attitude, positive mind and willing to take on additional tasks and responsibilities when required.
Possess own transport and willing to travel.
Young graduates with a strong desire to be involved in R & D work are also encouraged to apply
