Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be :
Overall in charge of managing the Group’s network infrastructure and data centre operations to ensure the smooth delivery of services with minimal downtime.

Managing and providing technical direction and leadership support to a team of technical support staff.

Planning, designing and introducing programs for improvement in areas of hardware, software and networking products and services to support the Group’s new and growing business needs.

Evaluating, recommending and managing procurement of products and services with vendors and service providers.

Leading infrastructure projects, implementing and rolling out new additions and upgrades of hardware, software and telecommunications products and services.

Refining and improving the Group’s IT policies, policies and Disaster Recovery capabilities.
Requirements:

Should possess a Degree / Diploma in Computer Studies.

Experience in setting up and managing data centres would be an advantage.

Must have at least 5 years’ experience in supporting LAN/WAN environments, preferably from an IT vendor environment.

Strong technical knowledge in the areas of networking, security, messaging and collaboration solutions and blade servers. Knowledge in MPLS, i-series (AS400), Windows Server, Domino, VMWare, Symantec and Fortigate would be an added advantage.

Strong experience of routers, switches and network equipment inter-connectivity.

Good people management skills.
