Communicate plans, status, and issues to management.

Software Quality Engineer

Software Quality Engineer provides analysis and consulting on highly complex software development projects related to quality assurance, work processes, and compliance with standards and methodologies. This individual is responsible for the development and execution of software test plans and procedures.

Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering with preferably 1-2 years of relevant experience.
Conceptual knowledge of information technologies and methodologies in client/server and/or mobile computing environments are desirable.
A minimum of one-year experience as a Software Quality Engineer to include responsibility for working on multiple software quality projects simultaneously. Those with two or more years of experience in which one or more of the following will also be considered.
Successfully developed and/or supported applications.
Developed efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
Demonstrate competency in the execution of projects.
Thorough knowledge of QA strategy, process, and tools.
Experience with automated testing tools is an advantage.
Good working knowledge in Java, XML, C/C++ and various type of operating system; Unix, Windows, Linux is advantageous.
Strong technical knowledge, with hands-on experience in new and legacy computing architectures and environments (e.g., client/server, Web, mobile application).
Knowledge of relational databases and database applications (DB2 and/or Microsoft SQL Server).
Strong verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express technical concepts in business terms.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
Process focused orientation.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
