Responsibilities:
Liaise with production and store department pertaining to all incoming and outgoing process
Monitoring logistics and shipping documentation process.
Play an active role in managing all processes involved in a supply chain including transportation, distribution and warehousing management.
Ensuring structures such as transportation, stock control and warehousing are in place to monitor flow of goods and materials. Monitoring quality, cost accuracy and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods.
Coordinating and controlling order cycle and manage effectively the stock levels, delivery times, cost targets and performance levels.
Developing the business by analyzing warehousing and logistical issues and producing new solutions for operational improvements.
Ensure all in-bound and out-bound and export shipments are managed on a timely basis by sea, air and road. Maintain close control on critical materials, transportation and emergency plan, when necessary. Gather and assess competitive Logistics information as a basis for comparison to Logistics strategies that are developed.
Compile and maintain monthly reports to management and relating to Customs and other related procedures.
Liaise with Freight Forwarders and Transport Companies to ensure goods are shipped timely and in a cost effective manner.
To coordinate and follow up with QC on quality and shipment inspection matters.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess a Diploma/Degree in relevant field with at least 2 years of working experience in logistics preferably in a manufacturing company.
Able to work independently with good problem solving, negotiation and influencing skills.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and must be a team player.
Experienced in materials, logistics, warehouse management.
Well-versed in Customs procedures.
Experience in liasing with forwarders and shipping agents is an advantage.
Proficient in Ms. Office Application (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Must be fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Those with experience dealing/handling Customs Golden Client (CGC) approval has an added advantage.
Must be able to work with tight deadlines and work under pressure.
This position is based in Batu Berendam Free Trade Zone, Melaka.
