Responsibilities:
Responsible for all legal matters of the Group and associated companies as well as overall management of the Legal Department.
Manage general corporate legal work of the Group, providing legal advice and conduct negotiations.
Coordinate and liaise with external advisors and advise top management on associated legal implication from time to time.
Advise senior management on corporate governance issues and compliance of all requirements.
Streamline internal policies on legal procedures within the Group.
Advise on risk assessment/evaluation for new business development and corporate planning/rationalization exercise from the legal perspective.
Responsible for preparing, vetting, compiling and coordinating the timely execution, submission and filing of all legal documents/agreements to the relevant parties/authorities.
Liaise and instruct external lawyers.
Attend meeting involving external parties and government agencies.
Provide overall legal advice pertaining to all litigation matters.

Requirements:
Degree in Law or equivalent.
Minimum 12 years experience in corporate legal work, and minimum 6 years experience in legal practice.
Experience in a public listed corporation is preferred.
Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; ability to read and write in Mandarin is an advantage.
Good working knowledge of computer software applications.
Able to travel as and when required.
