Responsibilities:

Principal Responsibilities

. Key position in the Finance organization in Penang, which requires excellent partnership with Corporate Governance, Internal Control, auditors (internal & external), business/operations and senior management team in driving the control agenda for the site or region.

· Responsibilities will include driving strong internal controls, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), Control Self Assessment (CSA) and regulatory compliance.

· Ensure adequacy of internal controls and compliance of organization's policies and procedures.

· Specifically:

· SOX

Overseeing ongoing SOX compliance execution including continuous improvement of the processes and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance

Executing SOX strategy decisions, scoping and planning.

Managing liaison with site finance, business operation team and driving cross-functional involvement in ongoing SOX compliance.

Refining key controls around significant financial processes and accounts

Supporting internal and external audit requirements pertaining to SOX compliance.

· Internal Control & Business Partnership

Evaluation of key business processes to appraise key business risks and effectiveness of internal controls.

Identify control exposure in key business processes and monitor implementation of agreed corrective actions.

Support Internal Control in ensuring timely completion of CSA by the business/operations team.

Support management team with respect to financial or operational audits aimed at improving governance standards.

Drive Management Action Plans (MAP) closure for all scorecards and ensure no delayed SOX/CSA MAP.

Drive sharing of best practices and control issues across the region.

Create awareness on the importance of internal controls to business operations and management team.

Provide training and educate business/operation teams

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional

Degree or Master's Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.

Excellent communication skills.

Detailed, able to execute and drive implementations

At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
