Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will assist in continuous monitoring of the internal control systems and its effectiveness in mitigating the various business risks faced by the various operating units of the Group. The incumbent will be responsible in identifying internal control weaknesses and business risks assessment, provide recommendations, revise and develop innovative audit programmes to suit the changing business process and operating environment as well as provide guidance to audit executives during field audit.
Requirements:
The incumbent should possess high ethical standards and be able to maintain strict work ethics and confidentiality. Analytical with good leadership qualities along with integrity and a commitment to excellence are necessary pre-requisites for the position. The incumbent should be a qualified accountant with membership in either MIA, ACCA, CPA, CIA or equivalent with minimum 6 years’ internal audit experience with exposure to diverse industries. The incumbent should also possess good oral and report writing skills and be proficient in computer assisted audit techniques. Experience with data extraction and analysis techniques using IBM DB400 database and audit software tools such as ACL, MS Access and SQL will be a definite advantage.
