Responsibilities:
•Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of the construction of building and production plant.
•To ensure that projects are executed timely, within budget and in accordance to the contractual requirements in respect of quality and specifications.
•To lead, co-ordinate and motivate the project team to carry out their respective functions and mentors site staff through formal channels.
•To ensure that risks and problems are identified before they occur and take steps to prevent them.
•To regularly study the budget and costing of the project to ensure that costs are kept under control.
•To coordinate and communicate with anyone and everyone who is involved with the project.
•To plan and monitor work progress.
•To plan, organise, monitor and control project resources.
•To prepare work progress reports on a monthly basis, or more frequently as needed.
•To liaise with consultants, contractors and local authorities to ensure the smooth project implementation.
•To check and ensure that correct construction drawings are issued timely.
•To follow up with local authorities to secure timely approvals.

Requirements:
•Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management or related discipline.
•Minimum 10 years experience in construction industry, of which 3 years should be at a managerial level.
•Preferably those with exposure in reinforced concrete structure, steel structural, architectural and infrastructure works.
•Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills and be able to deal with various local government departments.
•Ability to handle multiple tasks, co-ordinate, manage and communicate efficiently and effectively.
•Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. Knowledge in Chinese will be a definite advantage.
•Strong organizational skills, trustworthy, independent, self-motivated and resourceful.
